Aeries Cable and Raceway Systems - Electrical Engineering and Electrical Design Software

Power Systems Engineering

LoadMatic™ takes data obtained from your project's P&ID by way of import then uses it to size starters, breakers, and cables. The information is then used to manage the load lists, develop the auxiliary bus network, automatically generate load schedules, panel schedules, one-line/single line diagrams, and control-wiring diagrams/schematics using automated NEC lookups.  This information is then imported to the cable routing application CableMatic PlusTM  for features such as automated adjustment of wire sizes based on cable lengths and automatic orthogonal raceway design.

While these features can be provided with specific, company created Excel spreadsheet load tabulations, LoadMatic™ provides a method to quickly adjust load assignments, saving you time and money.

Electrical Design Software

TrayMatic is utilized in plant design for cable trays, conduits, and concrete duct bank.  It will use the 3D model created by your plant design software as a background to layout the electrical raceway system.  This software offers an easy to use method to produce a 3D electrical design for to allow for the cable scheduling software to automatically assign an intelligent cable route!

The time required to design cable trays, above ground, and underground conduits is drastically reduced!  The design is stored in data format which can be used to generate a 3D electrical raceway model at any time! This electrical design representation is placed in your plant design model and can be used for 'walk through' purposes and 'clash detection'. Review of the customer feedback suggests the underground concrete and duct bank design has proven to save over ninety percent of the effort required on most jobs.

Below is a bulleted list showcasing the major functions.

  • Bill of Materials
  • Drawing generation automation tools
  • Automated tray tagging
  • Automated Conduit tagging
  • Automated Underground conduit cross sectioning
  • Interoperable with 3D plant design systems
  • Output for 3D clash detection; i.e. Microstation

Cable Routing and Cable Scheduling

Using a spreadsheet, the cable designer prepares a list of cables (cable type, origin/destination equipment, and voltage level restrictions).  The cable scheduling software will use NEC or user specified rules to avoid overfilling the raceway.   If a conduit or cable tray becomes overfilled, the software will resize the raceway for the user (if desired).

When a bid package is being created, or when precise cable routing between equipment and tray or pull point is not required, the cable scheduling software (CableMatic Plus™) can find tentative transitions between equipment and main raceways by determining what nearby main raceways are available that allow for the cable's voltage level requirements.

Construction Management

This module is operated by the constructor.  The concept is this: the engineer will prepare the information with CableMatic Plus and send issued databases to the Builder.  This gives the Builder several capabilities including:

  • Work Package Creation
  • Start-Up System Creation
  • Pull and Termination Ticket Printing.
  • Pull and Termination Ticket Status updates
  • Progress and Inventory Reporting
  • Cable Reel Length Tracking.
  • Cable and Wire Marker Printing
  • Status Updating by Barcode
  • and much more...
